Proxy cars are welcome! All proxy cars must be received by August 19th
Racing format:
The 2011 Pinewood Derby® National Championship race will be held on a 3 lane 42' custom Best Track with 80" of divided stopping section for the safety of the cars. The track will be Edge Equipped with the ESS by Jewkes Engineering to ensure fair consistent starts for accurate times.
The racing format will be a timed 3 run average for the preliminaries. Depending on the number of entries per class racers will qualify for the finals.
1 to 10 racers- 3 qualify for finals
11 to 20 racers- 6 qualify for finals
21 to 30 racers- 9 qualify for finals
31+ racers- 12 qualify for finals
Finals will run a double elimination format to determine the winner.
*Before the finals all proxy cars and live racers WILL have their wheels cleaned to make the playing field as level as possible.
*Derby Master software will run the race.

Thursday August 18th:
Open track time from 5:00pm until 9:00pm
Friday 19th:
11:00am - 4:00pm Open Track Time
5:00 Shop Closes!
Saturday 20th:
9:00am - Tech in begins with racing to start immediately after cars are teched in.
